Service Reuters The British bluechip index ended lower on Friday and more comprehensive stocks lost for the week amid new concern over whether Britain might prevent a hard exit from the European Union by the year-end. The FTSE 100 index <.FTSE> closed 0.2% lower and shed 1.4% over the week, while the FTSE 250 index <.FTMC> inched higher for the day and lost 0.9% for the week. Britain and the European Union made little progress towards an offer on future incorporate talks today, and their chief arbitrators blamed each other for the stalemate.
